New York, NY
February 6, 2004
CEO Bill Allard Says Company Posted Outsized Increases in All Facets of Its Business-More Than Tripling 2002 Results p. Marquis Jet, the innovator and global leader in hourly private jet cards sold in increments of 25 hours, reported exceptional growth in all facets of its business-including revenue, new owner growth and flight activity-during the fourth quarter of 2003 and for the full year, according to CEO Bill Allard. The Company achieved another major milestone in 2003 by selling more than 1,000 Marquis Jet Cards. The Card, which entitles owners to 25 hours of occupied time on the world renowned NetJets fleet, ranges in price from $109,900 for a Citation V Ultra up to $299,900 for a Gulfstream IV-SP.
For the quarter ending December 31st, revenues for the Company’s North American and European operations were162 higher than same quarter revenues in the year prior. Total hours flown, cards sold and new owner growth each increased almost 150 . For the full year, Marquis’ revenues, flight activity and cards sold each increased by approximately 300 from 2002 results. The Company’s owner retention rate continues to exceed 90 with Card owners either renewing their Marquis Jet Card or purchasing a fractional share with NetJets?.
Marquis Jet attributes much of its success to two factors: its dedicated sales executives and Owner Services team, who serve as the liaison between the Company and its Card Owners; and to its exclusive relationship with NetJets, the leading aviation company in the world. The NetJets relationship allows Marquis to have control of the most important element in aviation-total access to the aircraft. Unlike other jet card programs that don’t own or control its own aircraft, Marquis offers its Owners complete access to the NetJets fleet of over 500 aircraft. The Company feels very strongly that having such control of the NetJets aircraft will become even more beneficial in the future as the demands on an aging charter fleet and overall traffic volume continue to grow.
“We are very pleased with Marquis Jet’s performance in 2003,”said Richard Santulli, NetJets Chairman and CEO.“The 25 hour Marquis Jet Card has a unique benefit that no other company can offer; access to the NetJets fleet and the entire NetJets infrastructure which is a critical component to the service level people expect. Marquis Jet is the definitive leader in the Jet Card business segment by providing their clientele with a new way to experience NetJets and over time a number of these Marquis Jet Card holders will evolve to NetJets ownership.”
Adding to the excitement of a stellar fourth quarter, Marquis Jet was featured on the second episode of Donald Trump’s hit reality TV series"The Apprentice".“Marquis Jet was selected based on our relationship with NetJets and the quality and innovation of The Marquis Jet Card program,”said Allard.“The exposure we received from the more than 20 million viewers and ensuing media coverage has made Marquis Jet, along with NetJets, the most recognizable brands in private aviation. Based on the strength of our alliance with NetJets, the popularity of The Marquis Jet Card program, and the quality of our entire Marquis Jet organization, we are extremely well positioned for continued growth and success in 2004.”
The Marquis Jet Card program is operated by NetJets through an exclusive alliance between the two companies. NetJets owns the world’s largest and most diversified fleet of more than 500 private aircraft, has 2800 experienced pilots, and provides the world’s safest and most secure private aviation travel solutions.
